Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position in an urban healthcare facility. This seasonal contract opportunity entails providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a high-volume NICU environment. The role requires dedication to patient safety and comfort, with a focus on delivering excellent neonatal care within a dynamic team setting.

Job Details
  • Schedule:

    Days shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:

    Valid nursing license, a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience at Level 3 or higher, CPR certification (including AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support), graduation from accredited nursing program, ability to start on 09/21/2026 and work until 12/21/2026.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous NICU travel experience, familiarity with electronic medical records such as CPIN or Meditech, experience with Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Additional Information:
    The unit features 97 beds with a staffing ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse. Equipment used includes Medfusion pumps, Alaris IV pumps, GE monitors, and giraffe Isolette incubators. The dress code requires navy scrubs, with strict policies against artificial nails and nail polish. Friendly, outgoing, and compassionate personality traits are preferred to ensure excellent patient and family interactions.
