American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Pediatric Surgery position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior OR experience.

• Work in the Pediatric Surgery unit of a Level 1 trauma hospital with 14 ORs plus 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
• Perform both circulating and scrub nurse responsibilities for pediatric surgical patients
• Schedule consists of 4x10-hour weekday shifts from 06:30-17:00
• Call requirements apply for this unit
• Utilizes an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for clinical documentation

• Active RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or compact license required prior to start
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Advanced Life Support certification required within 180 days of hire (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school or program required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience required
• 1+ year of OR RN experience preferred
• Pediatric OR RN experience a plus

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and clear communication
• Monitor patient status and maintain accurate clinical documentation as circulating nurse
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare instruments while assisting surgeons as scrub nurse
• Radius rule applies, which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
