American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1.5 years of OR nursing experience.

• Work in the Pediatric Surgery unit of a Level 1 Trauma Center with 14 ORs and 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Perform circulating nurse duties including monitoring patient status and documenting in the EHR
• Provide scrub nurse support including maintaining sterile technique and preparing instruments
• Mid-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, working 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment

• Active TX or compact RN license required prior to start
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required within 180 days of hire
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent professional licensure required
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• 1+ year of OR RN experience preferred
• Pediatric OR RN experience a plus
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team to support efficient workflows and communication
• Work within a Level 1 Trauma Center surgical environment
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
