American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN with pediatric surgery experience to work in a busy Level 1 trauma OR requiring a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in the Pediatric Surgery unit of a Level 1 trauma center
• Facility includes 14 operating rooms plus 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
• 13-week contract assignment
• 3x12 weekday shifts scheduled from 06:30 to 19:00
• On-call responsibilities required
• Perform both circulating nurse and scrub nurse duties
• Utilizes Electronic Health Record (EHR) for clinical documentation

• Active TX or compact RN license required prior to start
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Advanced Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• 1+ year of OR RN experience preferred
• Pediatric OR RN experience a plus
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent professional licensure required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and clear communication
• Monitor patient status and maintain accurate clinical documentation as circulating nurse
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments, and assist surgeons as scrub nurse
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply that can affect pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
