DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery/Women's Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 3+ years of high-volume perinatal experience.
Details- Work in the OB Triage unit of a Level IV Maternal Designation facility
- Unit includes 26 LDR suites, 6 C-section suites, 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 15 monitored Ante-partum beds
- 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage available
- Facility supports an academic teaching service as well as large private OB practices
- Includes a Perinatal Transport Program
- Women's Emergency Department has 14 beds and sees patients from 16 weeks gestation to 6 weeks postpartum with an expanded GYN scope
- Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
- ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
- NRP certification from AAP required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start required
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery and Women's Emergency Department setting
- Work alongside a full support team including in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates to be considered at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
