Registered Nurse - NICU

$1958.40/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns in the NICU, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled assessments and interventions. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment with nights shifts, requiring experienced neonatal nurses.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neonatal patients, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and utilize specialized equipment such as infusion pumps and monitors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Educate and support families, providing compassionate communication and guidance.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress codes, and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience.
• Strong proficiency with NICU equipment and EMR systems (CPN, Meditech).
• Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Compassionate personality with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of protocols, including BLS and NRP certifications.
