Job Details

To provide clinical assessment, examination,and treatment of pregnant women with fetal disorders.

Responsibilities

Obtainpatient history and perform assessment via observation, interview,and examination.

Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines

Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care Perform alladmission history & physicals

Conduct dailyhospital rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with implementation of therapeutic fetal surgery plans

Order and interpret laboratory studies

Dischargeplanning including documentation, writing prescriptions,explainingdischarge/post-operativeinstructions, and patient education

Willingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills such as the assessment offetal viability, fetal presentation, biophysical profiles and ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures

Chart reviewand data collection for the neonatal follow-up for clinical database

Multi-disciplinary conference presentation preparation

Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, andother stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical care Ensurecontinuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic toenhance quality of healthcare services to patients

Provide patient navigation to provide seamless care coordination betweeninpatient and outpatient settings

Participate in the education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows

Support and participate in research initiatives within the Center Other related functions as assigned

Required Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Currentnational board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying organization (e.g., AANP or ANCC)
Current (Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license

Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability toutilize software for data entry, information retrieval as well as outpatient and inpatient electronic medical records

Aptitude towork in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment;ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in women's health, OBGYN orfamily medicine preferred.

Salary Range

$110,000+ depending on qualifications

Clinical carein both an outpatient clinic setting as well as hospital-based practice

Retirement Plan Eligibility

Theretirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours perweek and at least 135 days in length. This position has the optionto elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS,subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135days in length.
