DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring TX or compact RN license, tele experience, and NIH Stroke certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.
Details- Med/Surg unit setting within a hospital
- 28-bed unit with 32 FTEs including RNs and PCTs
- Patient ratios range from 5:1 to 6:1
- Uses telemetry, video EEG, Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and vital sign monitoring equipment
- EMR system is Meditech
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- No on-call requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience required
- 3+ years of nursing experience and epilepsy care experience preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Care for a general Med/Surg patient population with a focus on team-oriented, feedback-driven culture
- Must be open to feedback and demonstrate ownership of patient care
- Navy blue scrubs with facility logo required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
