American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring TX or compact RN license, tele experience, and NIH Stroke certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.

• Med/Surg unit setting within a hospital
• 28-bed unit with 32 FTEs including RNs and PCTs
• Patient ratios range from 5:1 to 6:1
• Uses telemetry, video EEG, Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and vital sign monitoring equipment
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience required
• 3+ years of nursing experience and epilepsy care experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Care for a general Med/Surg patient population with a focus on team-oriented, feedback-driven culture
• Must be open to feedback and demonstrate ownership of patient care
• Navy blue scrubs with facility logo required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
