Maternal Fetal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Role: Provides clinical assessment, examination, and treatment for pregnant women with fetal disorders.

Responsibilities: Obtain patient history, perform assessments, conduct diagnostic testing, and participate in quality assurance. Conduct hospital rounds, document progress, write orders, and assist with fetal surgery plans. Interpret lab studies, plan discharges, and educate patients. Acquire ultrasound skills for fetal assessments. Review charts, collect data, and prepare for multidisciplinary conferences. Collaborate with medical teams, ensure effective communication, and provide patient navigation for seamless care.

Participate in education of trainees and support research initiatives.

Qualifications: Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, national certification (AANP or ANCC), DEA license. Strong analytical, organizational, communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Ability to work in a complex team environment.

Preferred: Experience in women’s health, OB/GYN, or family medicine.
