Surgical First Assistant - LSA, CSFA or RNFA

A Surgical First Assistant group is seeking an LSA/CSFA or RNFA in Austin, TX, for a dedicated first assistant role covering general surgery, OB/GYN, urology and spine cases. Monday to Friday, 30 to 35 hours, no call and no weekends. $110,000 to $130,000 base plus quarterly bonuses.

• Provide first-assist support during robotic surgery cases in general surgery, OB/GYN and urology, working directly with the surgeon and the OR team
• Provide first-assist support during orthopedic spine and neuro spine cases. No cranial work.
• Established surgical services organization with a consistent case mix and a stable weekly schedule
• First assistants here move into management roles over time, so there is upward mobility within the group and growth opportunity if desired

• Monday through Friday
• Typically 30 to 35 hours per week

• Guaranteed base salary of $110,000 - $130,000, paid annually and based on experience
• Quarterly bonus opportunity of approximately $2,000 per quarter

• 1099 PRN arrangements are also considered.

• Active LSA (Licensed Surgical Assistant) or current CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) credential with eligibility to license in Texas
• RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) candidates: active Texas RN license, or a multistate compact license.
• Robotic surgery first-assist experience, ideally da Vinci and laparoscopic.
• Experience across orthopedic spine and neuro spine cases
• Comfortable as the first assistant working alongside the operating surgeon
