American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring TX or compact RN license and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification in a high-volume, high-risk delivery unit.
Requirements- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- NRP certification from AAP/AHA
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- OB Triage unit in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored ante-partum beds
- Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
- High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
- 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Perinatal Transport Program in place
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:00
- 13-week assignment length
- Provide direct patient care within a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery/Women's Emergency Department setting
- Unit is expanding in early 2026 to a new Women's Tower
- Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with radius mileage varying by facility location
