Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Seasonal Contract)

Austin, TX | Acute Care

Contract | 13-Week Seasonal Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | No Call Requirements

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Labor & Delivery unit maintaining a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with procedures including SVD, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC
• Utilize specialized equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members across day shift operations
• Adhere to unit attendance policies and maintain compliance with all required certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and intermediate fetal monitoring

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) competency and intermediate fetal monitoring skills
• SVE competency and C-section circulation experience

• Internal monitor placement competency
• Experience in a high-volume Level IV Labor & Delivery unit
• Previous travel nursing experience in similar acute care settings

• Work alongside an experienced team of approximately 150 staff members on a well-equipped, technology-forward unit with no call requirements
• Opportunity to gain experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting with potential for permanent positions on the unit
