Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Scheduling Period Required | No Call Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients including high-risk OB cases, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity and transition needs
- Assist with and support procedures including C-sections, spontaneous vaginal deliveries, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, scheduled and emergent C-hysterectomies, and massive transfusion protocols
- Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps and CADD epidural pumps; document care using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, Certified Surgical Techs, schedulers, and physicians in a self-scheduling environment
- Maintain current ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced EFM, and CPI certifications throughout the assignment
- Active RN license with Labor & Delivery specialty experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in High-Risk OB
- Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced EFM, and CPI
- Candidates without High-Risk OB experience and required certifications will not be considered
- Experience with massive transfusion protocols in a High-Risk OB setting
- Experience with placenta accreta spectrum disorders (PASD)
- Highly engaged, motivated, and team-oriented with a positive, intentional approach to patient care and interactions
- Join a Joint Commission–accredited Women's program on a unit with a Maternal Designation Level III and Neonatal Level II, supported by highly engaged physicians and a management team that actively rounds on night and weekend shifts
- Work within a collaborative, self-scheduling team environment that offers a strong mix of experienced and newer nursing staff, with permanent positions potentially available on the unit
