At Tampa Bay VS&ECC, you will work directly with our board-certified neurologist, whose passion for teaching has a strong track record with both interns and residents. The Neurology service has a 4-day work week, with on-call support for the Emergency Department every 3rd week. The internship is designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience, incorporating both clinical and didactic learning. Our day starts with hospital-wide in-patient rounds to ensure collaboration and learning among our team.

The Neurology service participates in monthly regional journal club and in-house monthly book club/topic rounds. The intern will have primary case responsibility of neurology emergency cases (always with direct specialist support), the opportunity to learn technical aspects of MRI operation and preliminary in-house CSF analysis, and a neurosurgical cadaver training lab. The intern will be given the opportunity to rotate through other specialty services, as well as time to visit and interview with residency programs.
