Eye Care for Animals Far West (ECFA) is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. ECFA supports your development with tools, resources, and a national network while maintaining a local community feel.
About YouAs a Vet Tech, you will play an important role in pets’ lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey, from hands-on outpatient treatments and laboratory tests to surgery assistance and helping with admitting and discharging patients.
Job OverviewThe Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. Responsibilities include animal handling, pre- and post-operative patient care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client database, extensive client interaction, and preparing medications.
Qualifications- Previous veterinary technician/assistant experience required
- Licensed Technician preferred, but not required
- Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections
- Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and using various monitoring equipment
- Team player
- Eager to learn and self-motivated
- Thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills (email, uploading/downloading files, typing)
- Ability to multi-task with a smile

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $20 - $25 per hour for non-licensed techs and $25-30 per hour for licensed techs. The actual rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
