Position Details

Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3-4 days a week, 7:15 am - 6 pm. Rotating Saturdays, 8 am - 1 pm.
Experience: Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience required
Credentials: Licensed veterinary technicians and experienced veterinary assistants are encouraged to apply

What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, attentive nursing care for patients throughout their visits.
  • Safely handle and restrain patients using low-stress techniques.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories and record vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, sample collection, and IV catheter placement based on experience.
  • Assist with radiographs, laboratory testing, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the veterinarian.
  • Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
  • Keep treatment and examination areas clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient and positive hospital workflow.

What You’ll Bring
