Landscaper

Overview

Located at Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club outside Austin, TX, the Landscaper will join the Landscape Department. Responsibilities include maintaining club grounds, residential homes, and common areas.

• Maintain landscapes throughout club amenities, residential homes, and common areas, including weeding, lawn mowing, string trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and raking.
• Install new landscape plantings and seasonal annual color at residential homes, on the golf course, and around the club.
• Water and maintain new and annual plantings.
• Participate in leaf removal during dormant seasons as needed.
• Apply proper chemical and fertilizer applications to maintain healthy and aesthetically pleasing landscapes.
• Securely operate hand tools, push mowers, zero‑turn mowers, skid steers, tractors, and mini‑excavators.
• Keep all work areas orderly and neat.
• Assist with landscape projects as requested.
• Set up and close department tools and equipment daily.
• Report safety or maintenance issues immediately to the Landscape Manager/Horticulturist.
• Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Prior experience in landscaping, preferably in a residential or hospitality environment.
• Ability to operate landscape machinery such as push rotary mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles, and riding mowers.
• Valid driver’s license and safe vehicle operation skills.
• Plant knowledge or horticultural practices knowledge is a plus.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to remain calm in busy periods.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands: work indoors and outdoors in all weather, stand, walk, and move for >8 hours, lift and carry items sometimes >50 pounds.
