Status: Full-time
Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Schedule: 4 days per week with rotating Saturdays

What Our Veterinary Receptionists Do
As a Veterinary Receptionist at North Austin Animal Hospital, you’ll be an essential connection between our clients and medical team. You’ll help keep communication flowing, schedules organized, and clients supported throughout their experience with our hospital.
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client questions
- Schedule and coordinate veterinary appointments
- Check clients and patients in and out efficiently
- Communicate important information between clients and the medical team
- Maintain accurate client and patient information
- Process payments and assist with client transactions
- Help clients understand hospital services, recommendations, and next steps
- Recognize potentially urgent concerns and communicate them appropriately to the medical team
- Provide compassionate support during stressful or emotional situations
- Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient reception area
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining excellent client service
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception team members
- Participate in cross-training and continued learning opportunities
- Take ownership of responsibilities and help identify ways to improve the client and team experience
