Schedule:Three 12-hour overnight shifts per week, including one weekend night.
Pay:$23-$26 per hour, based on experience, credentials, skills, qualifications, and location. Shift differential available for overnight and weekend shifts.
Emergency Veterinary Technician Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care for emergency and critical-care patients in a fast-paced, 24-hour specialty hospital.
- Support triage, patient assessment, inpatient monitoring, treatments, and outpatient procedures under veterinarian direction.
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, laboratory testing, radiology support, and specimen collection.
- Assist with emergency procedures, anesthesia, surgery, and CPR while maintaining accurate medical records.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners and collaborate closely with veterinarians and the emergency care team.
- Strong emergency and critical-care nursing skills with sound clinical judgment
- A calm, organized approach to urgent and high-acuity cases
- Clear communication, compassionate client service, and a collaborative team mindset
- At least 3 years of recent veterinary technician experience required
- Veterinary emergency, specialty, or critical-care experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in routine veterinary procedures and confidence supporting hospitalized and urgent-care patients
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-service skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
