Shipping Clerk

Description

As a Shipping Clerk, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare product for shipment.

Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm CST

Onsite, in our North Austin facility

Full-Time, Permanent

• Sort and organize completed prescriptions
• Use Pharmacy operating software and Dispatch and Routing software
• Use handheld scanner to capture barcode digital information
• Prepare packages for delivery: print packing lists, inspect for accuracy, stage, and route
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be able to work the advertised shift of M-F, 9a-6p CST
• Ability to multi‑task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team as well as pharmacists and technicians
• Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
• Ability to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department
• Basic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the company
• Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
• Must be able to speak and write English

• Fed Ex Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a plus
• Experience working in a commercial pharmacy is a plus

• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, speaking, listening
• Must be able to occasionally lift bulk packaging weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to traverse close quarters easily
