Job Description
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for participating in the design, creation, implementation, and monitoring of programs and methodologies to ensure company products meet established specifications, design criteria, quality standards, and customer requirements. The role primarily focuses on DHR review for instrument manufacturing operations and supports the product release department by reviewing device history/batch records for compliance with internal procedures.
Responsibilities
* Review and ensure compliance of device history/batch records with internal procedures.
* Focus on bolstering throughput for the product release department.
* Provide information for metrics tracking systems, including the number of reviews conducted and errors found.
* Communicate with the floor to address issues and negotiate necessary corrective actions.
Essential Skills
* Experience in quality assurance, CAPA, and auditing.
* Experience in FDA-regulated environments such as pharma, med device, or biotech.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in quality, preferably Quality Assurance.
* Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Office programs.

Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to switch between tasks quickly.
* Familiarity with Oracle, CQT, CCT, CQI, and GMP.
* Associates Degree in engineering or life science preferred
* Experience with Oracle preferred
* Certification in Quality discipline (CQT, CCT, CQI, etc.).
* 1+ years of experience participating in formal audits.
Work Environment
The work hours are Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to start between 7-4 or 9-6. This is a fast‑paced, regulated laboratory and manufacturing environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
