Production Operator - Cast Layout

Job Summary

The employee will be responsible for visually inspecting cast rings for conformance to job order and quality standards.

The employee will be responsible for the following duties:

• Visually inspect cast rings against job order for correct date, degree, name, school spellout, shank detail, trademark and monogram.
• Inspect for quality of metal fillout.
• Maintain ring tally and notes of issues and provide feedback to wax for inspection of molds.
• Maintain identification codes regarding disposition of each wax pattern reject.
• Operate AS/400 and manage movement of orders.

• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers; comfortable with limited vocabulary.
• Ability to speak and write simple sentences.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide with tens and hundreds).
• Ability to use a computer keyboard.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to multitask.
• Working knowledge of QC inspection operations.

• High School or GED
