Join a fast-paced quality team focused on ensuring production and vehicle release processes meet design expectations, performance standards, and documentation requirements. This fully onsite Quality Engineer role in Austin offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally to solve complex manufacturing issues, improve quality systems, and support continuous improvement across the value stream.
Responsibilities
  • Manage quality issue tracking from containment through root cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformances found during production audits and vehicle release activities.
  • Support the diagnosis and resolution of NVH-related issues identified during rider quality audits and early fleet release processes.
  • Help establish and standardize inspection processes and tools for NVH evaluations.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts that strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of quality audits, issue resolution, and release processes.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Vehicle Development teams to resolve recurring product and process concerns.
  • Contribute to the development and review of PFMEAs and Control Plans to support robust risk mitigation in key manufacturing processes.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly and drive open issues through to closure.
  • Travel as needed to other company locations, including Atlanta, Miami, Hayward, and San Francisco, based on business needs.
Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, aviation, or contract manufacturing.
  • Strong background in advanced problem-solving methods such as Shainin Red X or Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated success improving quality performance across production and related operations.
  • Excellent planning, organization, analysis, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environments.
  • Familiarity with quality management and ERP systems such as SAP, MES, or JIRA for analysis and reporting.
  • ASQ certification, such as CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented approach and a proactive mindset for solving complex quality challenges.
