- 1.Experience in product development and/or quality assurance
- 2.Understanding of and experience in general food/manufacturing processing and laboratory techniques
- 3.A passion for food and strong culinary skills
- 4. Industrial maintenance experience
As a Product Quality Lab Technician, you will play an integral role supporting our client's Product Quality Team. You will work closely with the Product Quality and Product Development teams to manage a retains library and run product evaluations weekly.
Key Responsibilities- Manage first production retains (storage and cataloging)
- Lead the cooking, preparing, and presenting of samples weekly end of shelf life evaluations.
- Conduct independent product quality evaluations and store walks to investigate potential product quality issues
- Report evaluation results and investigation findings to internal stakeholders
- Maintain, clean, and organize the product quality lab and equipment
- Update lab policies and procedures
- Perform other miscellaneous product quality and administrative duties as necessary
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Quality Assurance, or a related field from an accredited university
- 1-2 years of experience working in the consumer-packaged goods industry or laboratory setting
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and deliver against rapid timelines
- Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to anticipate team needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to excel in team settings
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Good typing skills and accuracy
- Experience in product development and/or quality assurance
- Understanding of and experience in general food/manufacturing processing and laboratory techniques
- A passion for food and strong culinary skills
