MSR-FSR supports complex customer programs, including tool moves, plant shutdowns, and conversion projects. The organization tailors solutions across the full equipment lifecycle, from installation and commissioning to de-installation, shipping, storage, and decommissioning.
MSR-FSR also provides comprehensive Quality Assurance and Control services, including Quality Assurance Representatives and Certification Testing Services.
The QAR QA/CWI ASNT II is a full-time, on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area.
This role is responsible for performing quality assurance reviews and quality inspections on manufacturing equipment, components, and processes to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
Daily activities may include conducting visual and certified welding inspections, supporting non-destructive testing (NDT) activities, reviewing documentation and test records, and preparing detailed quality reports.
The QAR QA/CWI ASNT II collaborates with field service engineers, project managers, and customer representatives to resolve nonconformances, implement corrective actions, and maintain continuous improvement in quality performance.
The role may also assist with audits, certification testing support, and training teams on quality procedures and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices, including inspection and testing of parts, assemblies, and processes.
- Knowledge of Quality Management principles, including documentation control, nonconformance handling, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and their application within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience with Quality Auditing activities, such as internal audits, process audits, and vendor/supplier audits.
- Current or prior certification as CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) and ASNT Level II (e.g., in relevant NDT methods) strongly preferred.
- Background in semiconductor, solar, pharmaceutical, or similar high-tech manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams and customer representatives.
- Ability to work safely in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment and adhere to all safety and compliance requirements.
- Relevant technical education or training in engineering, quality, welding, or industrial technology; formal certifications are an advantage.
