Pulse Forge, Inc. is an Austin-based manufacturer of photonic processing equipment. Our Digital Thermal Processing (DTP) technology uses pulsed broadband light to heat thin films in milliseconds without damaging temperature-sensitive substrates — enabling advanced semiconductor packaging (photonic debonding for AI-era devices), printed and flexible electronics, and pulsed-light decontamination. We are a ~65-person company shipping capital equipment to leading semiconductor and electronics customers worldwide, and we are building the quality system that our growth demands.
The Role
We are hiring our first dedicated Quality Manager to own and build Pulse Forge's integrated management system. This is an architect role, not a caretaker role: you will design, implement, and certify our quality management system to ISO 9001, establish the combined path to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 under the Annex SL structure, and stand up the supplier-quality and product-compliance disciplines a semiconductor equipment maker requires.
You will inherit a knowledgeable inspection team, a modern ERP-integrated quality module (Odoo), active quality-analytics groundwork, and executive commitment to a dated certification timeline.
What You Will Own
• The integrated management system: quality manual, process architecture, document control, and internal audit program to ISO 9001:2015, with the 14001/45001 combined path designed in from the start.
• Certification execution: registrar engagement through Stage 1/Stage 2 on the committed timeline.
• A team of three (Quality Control Lead and inspection staff), with functional independence per ISO 9001 §5.3.
• Supplier quality: the approved-vendor qualification gate, supplier corrective actions, and incoming-quality standards for contract manufacturers.
• The product compliance portfolio:
RoHS, CE marking, UL 508/508A pathways, and SEMI S2/S8 for semiconductor customers.
• Quality analytics: CAPA/8D discipline, first-pass-yield and quality-alert metrics, and management review.
What You Bring
• 10+ years of progressive quality leadership in capital equipment, electronics, or semiconductor-adjacent manufacturing.
• You have led an organization through an ISO 9001 certification (not merely maintained one) — Stage 1/Stage 2 experience with a registrar.
• Internal auditor training (lead auditor preferred); working command of CAPA, 8D, and core quality tools.
• Preferred: multi-standard IMS experience (14001/45001), SEMI S2/S8 exposure, ERP-integrated quality modules, supplier-quality program builds.

Austin metro or willing to relocate; this is an on-site manufacturing leadership role.
