Position Summary

The Senior Assistant Property Manager will support the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a portfolio of commercial office, mixed‑use, and/or industrial properties. In this role, individuals will perform and are expected to have mastered standard Assistant Property Management job duties such as tenant relations, lease administration, maintenance and vendor coordination, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with property regulations.

Senior Assistant Property Managers are actively mentored to grow into property management roles. These individuals will often manage smaller properties in our portfolio with simpler lease terms to develop their higher‑level building systems, financial, decision‑making, and personnel management skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership potential, organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tenant Relations:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering positive relationships to ensure high tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Lease Administration & Documentation:
    Administer lease agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and maintaining accurate records of all lease, tenant, and building documents.
  • Financial Management:
    Assist and/or perform all budgeting/forecasting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Primary accounting contact for accounts payable including coding invoices, managing adjustments and accruals, and processing billbacks.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    Monitor and manage the collection of rent payments, confirm tenant charges, ensure timely application of funds received, and address any issues related to late payments or delinquencies.
  • Property Inspections:
    Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess conditions, identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
  • Maintenance & Project Coordination:
    Coordinate maintenance and repair requests, liaising with vendors and maintenance personnel to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues while maintaining property standards. Involvement in and/or oversee larger capital and/or operational projects.
Qualifications
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in office, industrial, or retail property management.
  • Experience in property management software (Yardi and Angus Anywhere preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Teams).
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate across digital platforms and in-person.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective time management, including prioritization of time sensitive items and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
