Salary:$105,000 annually

Position Summary

The Regional Transition Manager is a senior Property Management leader responsible for supporting properties through system implementations, operational transitions, and periods requiring intensive operational support.

This position will lead the Property Management implementation of Fortress and Sage Intacct for Family and Support SRO properties while providing hands‑on leadership to properties requiring stabilization or temporary oversight. The Regional Transition Manager works closely with Property Management, Finance, Compliance, IT, Training, Asset Management, and other departments to support successful transitions and sustainable operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Property Management implementation and adoption of Fortress and Sage Intacct, including data preparation and validation, process development, testing, training, go-live, and ongoing support.
  • Develop procedures, job aids, and training resources and provide hands‑on support to Regional Managers, Property Managers, and onsite teams.
  • Serve as a primary Property Management resource for system and operational troubleshooting.
  • Lead property transitions, lease‑ups, acquisitions, special projects, and other high‑priority initiatives.
  • Assess underperforming or high‑risk properties, identify root causes, and develop and implement recovery and stabilization plans.
  • Provide temporary operational oversight, coaching, and accountability to Property Managers and onsite teams, including assessing staffing needs.
  • Monitor key property performance, including occupancy, leasing, collections, delinquency, compliance, maintenance, staffing, budgeting, and financial performance.
  • Analyze property financial and operational data to identify risks, opportunities, and needed actions.
  • Partner with internal departments and leadership to resolve operational barriers and improve property performance.
  • Provide regular updates on transition and recovery progress and complete formal handoffs to Regional Managers once properties are appropriately staffed, stable, and operating successfully.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive property management leadership experience, including oversight of multiple properties, Property Managers, or onsite teams.
  • Significant multifamily property management experience.
  • Affordable housing, supportive housing, tax credit, or other regulated housing experience.
  • Experience with Real Page.
  • Strong knowledge of property operations, including leasing, occupancy, collections, delinquency, maintenance, staffing, budgeting, compliance, and financial performance.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, variance reports, and operating results.
  • Experience with property management and/or accounting systems.
  • Experience implementing or supporting property management systems, process changes, or other operational initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess underperforming properties, develop recovery plans, and drive measurable improvement.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to provide support, direction, and accountability in challenging environments.
