UT MAIN CAMPUS Purpose
In this position you will report directly to Dr. Ken Hsu and your primary research area will be to design and execute advanced experimental studies in the Hsu Lab, integrating chemical biology, quantitative proteomics, mass spectrometry, and in vivo models to support interdisciplinary research programs.
Responsibilities- Participate in regular team meetings and provide required progress updates and reports.
- Perform laboratory research including chemical synthesis, cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and proteomics studies.
- Conduct TMT-based quantitative proteomics, including sample preparation, operation and maintenance of LCMS/MS instrumentation, and proteomics data processing, quality control, protein identification, and ligand binding/functional domain analysis.
- Assist with rodent colony management and animal experiments, including compound treatments, xenograft models, genotyping, health monitoring, routine measurements, pre and postoperative care, and documentation for studies in immunology, cancer, and neuroscience.
- Work independently with the supervisor to design, execute, analyze, interpret, and communicate advanced experiments in collaborative meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned.
- PhD in Chemistry or other related field
- Significant experience in Synthetic chemistry, Mass spectrometry, Chemical proteomics, Biochemical analyses, and Cell biology expertise
- Animal model expertise
- Bioinformatics analysis
- Programming experience
$58,744 + depending on qualifications
