Location:PICKLE RESEARCH CAMPUS
PurposePerformance testing and analysis of sonar and underwater acoustic systems including testing implementation, verification, post‑mission data analysis, and data processing in the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL).
Responsibilities- Perform analysis of acoustic sonar data.
- Develop and maintain tools and processes to support organization and analysis of data.
- Testing and integration of real‑time and data analysis software applications to support the development of high‑frequency sonar systems.
- Coordinate with other team members during the collection and analysis of sonar data.
- Prepare and present results of analysis to stakeholders, as well as document and present work performed.
- Other related functions as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated ability in scientific modeling and data analysis in any MATLAB/Python/C++, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
- Strong background in statistics and data manipulation.
Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, be willing to work with new technologies, highly organized, capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks, and manage time effectively. The position requires attention to detail, effective problem‑solving skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information. The candidate should maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision, and communicate effectively with all groups of clients.
Able to work under pressure, accept supervision, and maintain regular and punctual attendance.
US Citizen:
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.
- Master's degree in computational/applied mathematics, with a focus in data processing and manipulation.
- Strong research background.
- Experience working in Linux and/or UNIX environments.
- Experience with acoustics or signal processing.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, C++, Lab View and Bash scripting.
- Proven ability to work independently, communicate with others, and take initiative.
- Eligibility for immediate access to classified information.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 with at least a 3.2 in relevant coursework.
$88,500 - $120,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications
