Purpose
The Research Associate II will coordinate an NIMH‑funded research study in the Mood Disorders Laboratory, part of the Institute for Mental Health Research. The project is a large‑scale clinical trial examining the efficacy of traditional, gamified, and placebo attention‑bias modification for adults with depression.
Responsibilities- Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the study: participant recruitment and screening, scheduling and conducting study visits, reserving study space and resources, onboarding participants into online intervention arms, administering diagnostic clinical interviews, and conducting psycho-physiological assessments such as eye‑tracking.
- Manage and maintain study data and protocols, oversee data‑collection procedures, organize study documentation, monitor data quality, and prepare datasets for analysis.
- Assist with scheduling and facilitating study meetings (e.g., recruitment tracking, clinical inter‑rater reliability, clinical supervision).
- Maintain regulatory documentation and assist with research compliance, including preparation and submission of IRB materials and NIH‑related documentation.
- Supervise and train undergraduate research assistants, overseeing their data entry, participant tracking, and other study support tasks.
- Assist with preparation of scientific manuscripts, conference presentations, and grant‑related materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
BA in psychology or a related field with at least two years of research experience.
Preferred QualificationsMS in Psychology or a related field and at least two years of full‑time research experience.
Experience with psychological research involving structured or diagnostic clinical interviews and familiarity with research data management and statistical software such as REDCap and RStudio.
Salary Range$50,000
Working Conditions- May work under standard office conditions.
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
A criminal history background check will be required for finalists under consideration for this position.
