The Temporary/Seasonal Archaeological Field Technician may also support the laboratory processing and curation preparation activities associated with projects. This position will support the firm's objectives of meeting our clients' expectations in a timely manner and lead by example to set high standards for creativity and inter-office and intra-office cooperation.
- Serves as Field Technician on various cultural resource projects.
- Conduct archaeological investigations for survey, testing, and data recovery projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or Historic Preservation, or a closely related field and the completion of an accredited archaeological field school.
- Minimum of one-year related experience
- Knowledge of and practical experience with archaeological field methods and techniques.
- Possess a valid driver's license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet company's auto insurability requirements

Required to sit, stand, stop, talk and walk and conduct field efforts over rugged terrain, in intense vegetation, and in inclement weather conditions. Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to walk Frequently required to use hands and reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, focus vision, depth vision.
Work environment may requires potential exposure to movement of heavy equipment on construction or roadway sites; potential exposure to varying weather conditions, hazardous dangerous chemicals and solvents, noise, dust, fumes, grease and oils, radiant and electrical energy, and vibration; all of which would require employee to follow proper safety procedures and utilize appropriate protective equipment.
This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs. Must have the ability to travel to out of town project on an as needed basis.
