Job Title: Research Engineering/Scientist Associate III
Hiring Department: Molecular Biosciences
PurposeCarry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering.
Responsibilities- Administration and project management of funded research programs. Schedule meetings, organize data, and prepare reports or other communications for the PI.
- Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students on various projects. Train graduate students in NGS experimental protocols and analysis.
- Conduct general laboratory duties, including ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and overseeing the maintenance of basic laboratory equipment.
- Spearhead, perform, and troubleshoot human antibody research tasks, including the preparation, processing and bioinformatic analysis of B‑cell DNA libraries using NGS.
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression.
Salary Range$55,000 + DOE
Working Conditions- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
