- **** Job Details:**## General Notes Initial assignment will be for one year. Subsequent renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding.## Purpose Perform research experiments and assist in mouse colony management.## Responsibilities
* Perform experiments relating to electrophysiological and biochemical assays measuring ion channel function.
* Collaborate with other lab personnel on projects.
* Assistance in mouse colony management and training of other lab personnel in lab techniques and mouse colony management as needed.
* Reading scientific literature, writing parts of manuscripts, attendance of seminars/lab meetings, presenting research at internal and external conferences.##

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or related field
* Experience with mouse handling and behavioral assays
* Experience with genotyping and PCR
* At least two years of wet lab experience##

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with patch clamp electrophysiology## Salary $37,000## Working Conditions
