Location:
AUSTIN, TX
Purpose:
Laboratory management and contributions to research on reverse transcriptases and related enzymes.
Responsibilities:
- Lab Management:
Laboratory Safety Officer (radioactivity, Lab asset and EHS management, chemical, biological), UT facilities contacts, laboratory compliance (personnel training, chemical inventory, BSL2 inventory, writing protocols); Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate students); arrange equipment and laboratory repair; monitor laboratory accounts and make and oversee lab purchases. - Protein purification, biochemical assays, molecular biology, cloning, other core competencies, and learning other methods if needed.
Master's degree. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in laboratory management.
Salary Range$64,000
Working Conditions- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished).
