IP Analyst | Physics

Job Purpose

The Senior IP Analyst is responsible for leading patent research initiatives, including prior art and freedom‑to‑operate (FTO) searches, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards. The role involves managing complex search projects, delivering high‑quality outputs, and supporting team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct comprehensive prior art searches (novelty, patentability, validity, and state‑of‑the‑art) and FTO analyses.
• Develop and implement advanced search strategies tailored to client requirements.
• Review and analyze patent documents, technical literature, and search results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare detailed, client‑ready reports summarizing findings and providing actionable insights.
• Perform technical (Checker
  1) and administrative (Checker
  2) evaluations in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• Conduct patent landscape analysis to assess competitive and technological environments, where applicable.
• Collaborate with junior analysts and provide guidance to support timely and accurate delivery of projects.

• Extensive experience in patent research, including prior art and FTO searches.
• Strong expertise in Boolean search strategies and use of global patent databases.
• Solid technical background (engineering, science, or related disciplines).
• Experience in preparing detailed patent search and analysis reports.
• In‑depth understanding of ISO 9001 processes and quality standards.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and share knowledge within a team environment.
