Research Program Coordinator

The Naturalistic Cognitive Computational Neuroscience (NCCN) lab in the Department of Psychology is seeking a full-time Research Program Coordinator to join the lab. We use naturalistic fMRI and computational modeling to study neural mechanisms of human memory and attention. This is a one year fixed-term position.

Main responsibilities include running fMRI and behavioral experiments and managing lab activities and personnel. This position is ideal for individuals who are seeking to gain research experience prior to graduate school.

The research coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of a research program and managing administrative duties of the laboratory.

  • Run fMRI and behavioral experiments and assist lab studies.
  • Recruit and interact with participants and organize participant registry
  • Manage applications for the Institutional Review Board
  • Design experiments, collect data, and preprocess and analyze data

Lab management.

  • Help onboard new lab members
  • Maintain lab documentation
  • Manage lab space and common areas
  • Assist with reimbursement process and work with department administrators
  • Organize lab funds and purchase supplies based on lab members' needs
  • Assist with writing scientific research articles and grant submissions
  • Organize lab meetings and events
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's (or expected) in psychology, neuroscience, or related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience coordinating or administering a program.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Research experience with human participants and/or fMRI
  • Relevant coursework
  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Programming skills
Salary

$38,500 - $40,000

Work Shift

Depending on MRI schedule, working hours may extend to nights and weekends.
