General Notes:

The Social Science/Humanities Research Associate I supports the lab's eating disorders research program by conducting structured clinical interviews with patients, contributing to the development of the Teen Growth web-based application, and managing and analyzing study data. This half-time position bridges clinical assessment, research technology, and data science to advance the lab's research on adolescent eating disorders. This is a one year fixed-term position.

This position is scheduled for 20 weekly hours.

Purpose:

The Social Science/Humanities Research Associate I supports the lab's eating disorders research program by contributing to the development of the Teen Growth web-based application.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical interviews and diagnostic assessments with eating disorder patients, including scheduling, administering structured/semi-structured interviews, and documenting findings in accordance with study protocols and IRB requirements.
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the Teen Growth web-based application, collaborating with the research and technical team to translate study requirements into functional features.
  • Manage, clean, and analyze research data in the lab, including maintaining databases, ensuring data quality and integrity, and conducting statistical analyses to support ongoing studies and publications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, cognitive science, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting structured or semi-structured clinical/diagnostic interviews, or comparable direct experience working with clinical populations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management and statistical analysis using tools, including REDCap.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with eating disorder or adolescent/pediatric populations in a clinical or research setting.
  • Experience with web application development and/or research data platforms such as REDCap.
Salary:

$24,000

Work Shift

20 Scheduled Weekly Hours.
