Part-Time Barista; Beer

Are you an experienced barista who loves creating great drinks and even better guest experiences? Want to expand your skills into the world of craft beer? We’re looking for a friendly, confident coffee pro to join our family at Slackers Brewing Co.

Part-Time Barista + Beertender
Hours
:
Part-time, 10-15 hours per week depending on events and foot traffic – mostly weekend, day shifts.
Experience
:
Previous barista experience is required. Beer, bartending, or restaurant experience is a plus (or a willingness to learn!).

Responsibilities:

• Craft high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, and tea with consistency and care
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest
• Learn and pour draft beer (training provided if needed)
• Assist customers with questions and recommendations about both coffee and beer offerings
• Keep tabs accurate using our user-friendly POS system
• Help maintain cleanliness in our bar and seating areas

Qualifications:

• Proven barista experience (dialing in espresso, steaming milk, handling rushes)
• Interest in craft beer and willingness to learn beer tending skills
• Food handler certification and TABC certification required (if not up to date, must be willing to obtain)
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
• Friendly demeanor and strong customer service skills

Slackers Brewing Co. is a family-friendly brewpub and coffee shop staffed by a team dedicated to educating customers on the ever-growing world of craft beer and coffee. We pour craft beer made in-house alongside locally roasted coffee and tea.
