Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Cook 1 to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to begin their pastry career in a high-volume, resort-style kitchen. You’ll work alongside experienced pastry professionals to craft delicious baked goods, desserts, and confections that elevate our guest experience.
What You’ll Do:- Assist in the preparation of a range of delicious pastries and desserts.
- Follow pastry culinary standards and recipes with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pastry workstations and storage areas.
- Properly store and label ingredients and finished products.
- Support inventory control and daily prep lists.
- Embrace learning opportunities and grow your culinary expertise.
- Collaborate with pastry and culinary team members to ensure timely production.
- Previous pastry experience and/or a culinary degree is a plus.
- A solid understanding of cooking ingredients and techniques.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Culinary or pastry school training preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of baking techniques and kitchen safety.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
