Responsibilities

• A Busser at WATR works as part of the service team, supporting servers and maintaining overall cleanliness of the restaurant.
• Prepare all tables before service, ensuring that place settings are appropriately arranged.
• Use the appropriate table settings for different meal services (breakfast, lunch, dinner), including arranging mise en place items such as salt, pepper, sauces, and sugar bowls.
• Stock all stations at the beginning of the shift (plateware, water and wine glasses, and silverware) and maintain their cleanliness and availability throughout service.
• Maintain your designated section, ensuring water is delivered promptly upon guests’ arrival and assist other sections as necessary.
• Clear tables of plates and remove silverware and glassware between each course.
• Wipe down and reset tables for new guests.
• Polish silverware and ensure proper storage according to established standards.
• Complete assigned side work before and after service (refer to side work sheets for details).
• Ensure bar area cabinets and shelves are fully stocked before service (glassware, silverware, plates).
• Remove all dirty linens from stations, empty trash, and keep the area clean.
• Practice the highest regard for safety within all areas and with all materials.
• Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines.
• Perform other related activities as assigned by management.
• Participate in daily shift meetings.
• Adhere to strict uniform and grooming standards.

Employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

• Organized and proficient at multitasking.
• Reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).
