Circuit of The Americas

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world‑class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

Proof of the Pudding, operator of COTA Catering, is seeking Bartenders to join the concessions team. Bartenders are responsible for product inventory, selling simple beverages, operating a point of sale system, following policies, and bar clean up post event. Work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of the event calendar.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for both pre & post bar set‑up/breakdown responsibilities.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner, including icing down product.
  • Communicates well with bar back personnel during the event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
  • Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
  • Operates a point of sale system to collect funds.
  • Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
  • Record closing inventory used to balance bar consumption vs sales.
  • Responsible for putting away all inventory as directed.
  • Follows all federal, local, and venue alcohol policies.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications Education and/or

Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of bartending experience.
  • Must hold a TABC.
  • Familiarity with Square POS is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will work out of and report to Circuit of the Americas. Events may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position will often move throughout the grounds and venue on different terrains.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30 pounds.
