Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.93 per hour on top of your hourly rate.
Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.

- Vacation:

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assist with inquiries and problem resolution. The role involves jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The position offers an hourly wage plus commissions based on productivity. Pay will vary based on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per policy.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve items stored outdoors.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview.

Maximum base payrate is derived from applicant’s experience and skill sets applicable to the position.
