Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Overview

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate position in pawn store locations nationwide. Freighted with a combination of customer service, sales, and lending transactions. This role involves engaging with customers, processing sales and loans, and maintaining a positive and professional store environment.

Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate — $14.00 to $18.00 per hour with commission based on productivity. The role offers earnings potential through commission in addition to hourly pay.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate collaborates with store staff to support customer service on both lending and retail sides. Responsibilities include greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and related transactions. Associates work with a variety of jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity; actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintains clean and stocked sales floor and displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per procedures and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and fosters a positive customer experience.
• Completes required training and performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Ability to assist customers outdoors on the property when needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Further details are provided during the interview process.
