$16.00 to $20.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or third‑key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day‑to‑day operations of the store and promoting a positive, productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations/Satisfaction.

It sets the tone for a customer‑centric environment and analyses store financial statements to ensure goals are met.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures are followed to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week; hours are based on business needs and are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
