Retail Receiving Senior Lead (Full-Time)

The Receiving Sr. Lead is a full-time non‑exempt role that reports to the Manager, Product Flow & Inventory, and is responsible for overseeing the Co‑op’s end‑to‑end receiving operations. This role ensures inbound product is received, processed, and distributed accurately and efficiently while meeting productivity standards and supporting inventory accuracy. The role owns the organization and integrity of the receiving and stockroom areas, maintains the WMS (Ship Hawk) and other inventory systems, and identifies and escalates inventory discrepancies for resolution.

Working closely with the Manager, Product Flow & Inventory, the Receiving Sr. Lead helps ensure seamless product flow and operational excellence. As a store keyholder, this role supports opening and closing procedures, Manager on Duty coverage, cash handling, and other operational needs. While not a people manager, the Receiving Sr. Lead provides day‑to‑day leadership of the receiving function and serves as the primary operational resource for receiving and inventory‑related processes.

Key Accountabilities & Achievements
  • Leadership, Management & Accountability (LMA)
    • Executes receiving responsibilities with accountability for daily performance, accuracy, and organization. Supports team expectations and contributes to a consistent and efficient receiving operation. (Updated from Receiving Specialist)
  • Receiving Execution
    • Owns the timely and accurate processing of inbound product. Ensures shipments are received, sorted, and processed according to company standards and daily priorities, while driving UPH to meet or exceed established expectations.
  • Inventory Accuracy
    • Supports inventory accuracy by ensuring product is received correctly into systems and discrepancies are identified and communicated for resolution.
  • Stockroom Organization
    • Owns organization of receiving and stockroom areas, including maintenance of the WMS (Ship Hawk) and other back‑of‑house inventory systems. Ensures spaces are clean, safe, and structured to support efficient product flow.
  • Product Flow Support
    • Supports product flow by ensuring product moves efficiently from receiving to the appropriate areas of the business, maintaining readiness for the sales floor and operations.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience for Success
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of Sales Associate experience required.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners.
  • Lead, or similar role, experience (preferred).
  • Technology experience: POS system and Warehouse Management System preferred.
  • Store keyholder responsible for opening and closing, alarm and access, and store security.
  • Supports broader store needs like Manager on Duty and cash handling.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to move about and ascend/ descend stairs, ramps, and ladders.
  • Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/ or fingers in a repetitive manner.
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (able to identify and distinguish colors).
  • Continuous standing, walking, using stairs, hearing, speaking, bending, crouching, and working in close proximity with others.
  • Ability to work a varying retail schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 6 of the 7 UT Home football games.
  • Well‑lighted, heated and/or air‑conditioned indoor retail setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Moderate noise (examples: customer and employee conversation, store music, light traffic).
