Compensation
$14.00 to $18.00 per hour
Commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.90 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

- Vacation:

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with customer inquiries and problem resolution.
The role involves a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math skills.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
