Skandinavia Contemporary Interiors is an Austin tradition since 1971. We sell high‑quality furniture, accessories, and artwork from around the world.

We are seeking a full‑time sales/interior designer who is outgoing, enthusiastic and passionate about design. In this role you will help customers create the perfect atmosphere in their homes while maintaining high customer service standards at our South Austin location.

• Take a consultative selling approach to building customer relationships as you help prospective buyers select home furnishing pieces that best suit their needs.
• Provide design services in showroom for furniture, accessories and rug selection including finish, color customization and style options.
• Generate sales as a result of in‑store and in‑home consultations.
• Develop and maintain expert product knowledge on all of our merchandise.
• Demonstrate design skills, professional communication, and follow‑up skills.
• Maintain the appearance of the store at all times.
• Attend and participate in weekly store meetings and individual meetings.
• Develop expert knowledge of our procedures and computer systems.
• Collaborate on posts for social media.

• Proven sales record.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS Diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of proven retail sales/customer service – furniture experience and background in interior design strongly preferred.
• High‑end apparel and luxury retail sales experience considered.
• Exceptional sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to work well in a team concept and on your own.
• Optimistic, outgoing and an energetic personality.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

First Year Performing Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00
