Position Summary
This position ensures the safety, organization, and customer service excellence in the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) at Sam’s Club.
What you'll do- Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards by following all safety policies, conducting safety sweeps, handling forklifts and hazardous materials, complying with steel standards, and promptly reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
- Presents and maintains merchandise presentations by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high‑shrink items.
- Monitor tire and battery order status daily and assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead‑time changes and cancellations, and provide alternative installation or tire fitment suggestions.
- Provide expert member service and recommendations by greeting members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing and service decisions, resolving concerns, and explaining warranties using Sam’s Garage and reference materials.
- Drive sales and service excellence in the TBC by communicating merchandise and service value and collaborating across the club to promote member awareness of TBC offerings.
- Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays by identifying waiting members, understanding various services, and maximizing efficiency; re‑prioritize as needed and recommend to team leads or technicians.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operation, TPMS, product specs, seasonality, POS systems, phone, and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage technology such as digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve the service experience, make real‑time business decisions, and promote adoption of new tools.
- Act as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience, modeling high quality service, developing and influencing teammates, understanding roadblocks, and assisting in training.
- Provide products and services to members in compliance with company policies, complete vehicle service requests and tests, operate TBC equipment safely, handle merchandise, maintain documentation, and manage payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these practices in all business processes.
- Complete work assignments by using data and resources, collaborating with managers and partners, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, communicating progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and adapting to change.

- Implement TBC and Point‑of‑Sale responsibilities, including following safety, security, and legal guidelines, providing accurate product information, handling payments, preventing shrink, and reporting issues.
