Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Motivates, trains and manages assigned sales team to increase sales revenues.
• Communicates with customers as necessary on sales floor, by phone or written correspondence.
• Displays or demonstrates product and promotes salable features.
• Ensures store displays, sales and pricing signs and promotion materials are properly placed and maintained.
• Ensures sales staff is performing all assigned tasks, to include properly maintaining assigned display areas and merchandise and maintaining required inventory levels.
• Determines and sets date of merchandise delivery to customer, based on knowledge of Company’s delivery schedules.
• Responds efficiently and professionally to sales team needs and inquiries.
• Assists in closing sales with customers.
• Coordinates and supervises sales staff training and training requirements.
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into a computer database and assists customers complete the purchase process by coordinating with other FAMSA Departments such as Credit, Distribution Center, etc.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems related to the purchase, delivery and exchange of Company merchandise.
• Supports the Loss Prevention Department with all value‑loss related operations such as safety, merchandise security, accident reporting processes, inventory control, etc.
• Works on weekly schedules for employees.
• Opens and closes Store location as needed.
• Sales merchandise and loans.
• Helps cashiers take payments when needed.
• Prints out cashier’s end of day report.
• Gives changes to cashier for drawers when requested.
• Receives cash transfers and deposit to safe.
• Counts end of day cash, checks, and credits cards received throughout the day.
• Deals with customer complaints.
• Helps will call with service orders when needed.
• Receives merchandise and gathers paperwork when merchandise is received at store location, gathers paper work for merchandise sent to warehouse and/or store locations.
• Works with the Credit and other Departments as necessary to increase revenue.
• Support the Sales Director as requested.

Education and/or

Experience:

Associates degree (A.A.) from accredited college, 2-4 years related experience and or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer

Skills:

Experience with inventory control, spreadsheet, sales and Word software required.

Other

Qualifications:

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

• Most sales associates are making 18/hr to 30/hr.
